All Rosies jewelry is made with love and should be treated with care. Each material has its own characteristics and qualities. Each product page lists the material used in each piece. Below, we describe the materials we use and how to best care for them.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is a material that's very popular among jewelry wearers. It's allergy-free and waterproof, making it ideal if you like to wear your jewelry all day long. When properly cared for, stainless steel can retain its color for a long time.

Gold plated copper/Sterling silver 925

Gold-plated jewelry has a metal base (copper or 925 sterling silver) over which a layer of gold is poured. Rosies are made using only high-quality gold plating. The strong base metal makes the jewelry more durable and less likely to bend. Our jewelry is plated with 14K or 18K gold; the higher the gold plating, the thicker the plating. It's important to take good care of your gold-plated jewelry to keep it looking beautiful for as long as possible. The material can wear out over time, depending on your skin's pH, how often you wear it, and how carefully you handle it. We therefore recommend removing your jewelry while swimming, showering, and sleeping, and avoiding contact with harsh products (such as perfume, creams, and other cosmetics).
